Book Expo America 2008: The Plans of Others
May 28, 2008

I'm ready. I've got my reservations at Pizzeria Mozza, a handful of party invitations, and a rough plan for which BEA - The Book Expo of Americapanels I'm going to attend in between other meetings (this sentence, of course, reveals my priorities...). I've even got a few precious hours blocked out for a visit to The Getty.

Are you ready for Book Expo 2008? I thought I'd share the perspectives of some other industry people who will each be doing very different things during the publishing conference:

The Impresario: Here's what Lance Fensterman will be up to

The Journo: In case you missed it, Hillel Italie's pre-Book Expo report.

The Agent: Agent Kristin of Pub Rants details her BEA plans.

The Consultant: Bella Stander's schedule sounds reasonable...just.

The Author: Adam Rex promises cake.

The Publisher: Chad Post of Reading the World is going a party at The Chateau Marmont.

The Blogger: Jessica Stockton Bagnulo plans an early beach getaway.

Part of my raison d'etre at the show is to blog about BEA, but as my colleague Chad says here, "There's not a lot of downtime." I'll be updating, but at distinctly odd hours -- so please keep checking back throughout the weekend for my ramblings, photos, and...some video!

Bethanne - I like how you gave everyone a role... its like playing a game of CLUE! I bet the author did it, in the library, using a book!
