One More Post-BEA 2008 Video Interview: Kathy Freston, "Quantum Wellness"

July 2, 2008 Oprah has finished her cleanse, and Kathy Freston, author of Quantum Wellness (Weinstein Books) was the architect of Her Media Highness's cleansing plan. I was fully prepared to loathe Ms. Freston on site, since her cleansing plan bans nearly all of the foods I consider essential to life, liberty, and the pursuit of creativity: wine, chocolate, ice cream, steak... I thought that I'd be encountering just another rail-thin food-phobic fitness fanatic with a beef (haha) against anyone who lives and eats (and eats, and eats) differently than she does.

So I was pleasantly surprised to sit down in the Weinstein booth at BEA with Kathy Freston and find a beautiful, fit, elegantly dressed woman who looks exactly as good as she does on her book jacket (believe me, that is not the case for all authors...I'm talking about you, Mr. Fooster!) It's true that she's a former model and thus has a few physical advantages on some of us height-challenged people out here, but she's also a calm presence whose knowledge of and commitment to her program seem quite genuine.

I wish I could tell you that I met Kathy Freston and Turned My Life Around, but I'd be lying. However, I can tell you that if you watch this interview, you'll learn five quick tips of how to start your own journey towards wellness in a quantum way.

Please let me know, in comments or via email, what you think of this video; I'm experimenting with my new camera and will be posting my video interview with Uwen Akpan later this week, too. My email: thereadingwriter at aol dot com. Thanks!
