Nightstand, Interrupted
March 23, 2007

The other day I mentioned my chief reading woe, which was that I'd received the galley of Michael Chabon's new novel The Yiddish Policemen's Union. Since that book isn't out until May, I felt that I should put it aside and read the March books in my teetering bedside stack (I move books back and forth from my teetering office stack to teetering bedside stack and back... ).

Dear readers, I was unable to resist temptation. Forgive me -- I'm already halfway through the Union.

Then, yesterday, I was given a shot at redemption -- Christopher Buckley's Boomsday arrived. Pub date is April 2, so I feel much more virtuous stepping away from the Chabon and picking up the Buckley.

As soon as I'm finished, I'll give you my brief review of Boomsday -- but, as usual, if you've already managed to read it, let me know what you think.
