Some Children's Books for Fall
October 24, 2008

NYC - Chelsea Market - NY1 by wallygI've been making regular appearances on NY1 on behalf of Publishers Weekly to talk about books (and I'll continue to do that; you'll hear more about my new endeavors in another post today), and I thought I'd share my latest clip with you. In it, I'm discussing some choices for the under-12 set; this weekend, you'll be able to watch my second segment about books for teens.

I hope you'll watch, but here are the five books I featured:

Our White House: Looking In, Looking Out by the National Children's Book and Literary Alliance (Candlewick Press)

Louise, The Adventures of a Chicken by Kate DiCamillo (HarperCollins Children's Books)

My One Hundred Adventures by Polly Horvath (Schwartz & Wade)

The Mayflower and the Pilgrims' New World by Nathaniel Philbrick (Penguin Group)

The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman (HarperCollins Children's Books)

Hello Bethanne, I wish you can talk to NY1 about books about our city. There are so many great NY chidren's books for all ages. The little ones would love "123 New York" or "Good Night New York" and for bigger ones "Building New York" and "ABC New York" are great options.
