Page Burner: And The Winner Is...
June 27, 2007

Thanks for all of the guesses yesterday; I hadn't even realized that the Fforde cover acted as a red herring. The book that actually kept me hammock-bound for hours was New England White by Stephen L. Carter.

I cannot recommend this literate, intriguing mystery/thriller enough. Am I wrong for wishing Carter would give up his Yale Law professorship and just write full time?

Fortunately for me, the "end" of this "contest" just means that I now get to choose between the Fforde and the Rendell for what to read next.
