Breakfast today with C.J. Lyons, a pediatric ER doctor, who successfully tried her hand at medical suspense and Toni McGee Causey, whose buttons advertising her book, Bobbie Faye's Very (very, very, very) Bad Day, caused quite a stir.
My favorite bookseller, Cynthia Parker, was kind enough to have her picture taken with me. Cynthia owns Silver Spring Treasurebooks in Maryland. I love it that her business cards announce, "Romance Friendly."
RT Award Luncheon had so many winners I can't print them all here. As soon as RT posts them I'll add a link. Just let me say that everyone was very deserving. There was a special tribute to the Pioneers of Romance from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
I had the opportunity to lunch with the phenomenal Lisa Jackson and her publicist Joan Schulhafer. We reminisced about our Author at Sea cruise experience from several years ago when Lisa had to follow the hilarious Tim Dorsey on a panel and she was laughing so hard she had tears and couldn't talk for several minutes. She swore she would never go after him again.

| Super Reader Morgan Hitchins and adoring hubby Jemal |
I was fortunate enough to meet super reader Morgan Hitchins. She loves all things books and brought her husband along to help navigate the maze that is the giant booksigning tomorrow. They have it all mapped out on who goes where to have her precious books autographed.

Christine Feehan sponsored a social for Booksellers and Librarians. She offered a forum on ways to get kids reading in schools that generated great discussions in the groups. Tea, sandwiches, fruit and puff eclairs were the perfect accompaniment. Her gift bags included an array of Ghostwalker items (t-shirt, mousepad, deck of cards, thermal mug, the most and clipboard...and no, I'm not sharing).
Next up was a Safari get-together with Vivi Anna, Sylvia Day, Delilah Devlin,Myla Jackson, Sasha White. It was packed as people stood in line for free books, autographs and free margaritas. It was a happy group.

Then on to a party for Cheryl Holt held in Kathryn Falk's suite. Excited to be able to spend time with the very brilliant Sheila English Clover of Circle of Seven Productions who makes the most incredible book trailers.

| Susan Pall and Heather Graham |
The highlight of the night is the popular Heather Graham Vampire Ball. Along with a terrific dinner, you know you'll get a terrific show. Heather manages to get her whole family involved. She worked for years in dinner theater and her talent shows as she wrangles authors into appearing in her musical production. This year's cast of characters included Snow White, Little Red Riding Ho, the Traveling Gnome, a drunk Tinkerbell, The Queen of Hearts, Frankenfurter, the Monster and F. Paul Wilson as the singing Butler (what would Repairman Jack think?). Very clever, creative and guaranteed entertainment. Wild and crazy dancing followed.
Bottom Line: What day of the week is it?
