While I was busy in Chicago this past weekend, the WW ladies and friends have been busy reading and blurbing.  They didn't let me down and as a reward, I brought back lots of books from Love is Murder to tempt them with.

The Moonquest  - A True Fantasy by Mark David Gerson

Read by Joyce

Once the land was filled with song, and everyone was a bard with a story to tell.  Then silence darkened the land, silence decreed by the royal dynasty with no music in their hearts, silence enforced with blood.  The few bards left have hidden away with their families to await the beginning of change and the Return.  Toshar is more boy than bard when it falls to him to make the quest that might restore the songs and stories to the land.

Mark David Gerson's poetic imagery draws vivid pictures in my mind, and this world's inhabitants, both people and creatures, are imaginative.  I found the occasional surreal quality lends itself to a mystical aspect, but I suppose that's what makes The Moonquest a True Fantasy.  According to Mark David, his Voice of the Muse book and audio has also just been released.

Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah

Read by Jan

Enduring friendship from a chance encounter in their traumatic teen years, 'Kate and Tully' 's relationship as 'best friends forever' survived through the tumultuous 70's and 80's. It is a wonderful tale of 'being there' for each other. I truly feel this will be a "bestseller".  Down to the last pages on my flight back from Orlando to frigid Wisconsin, I had to put the book aside, fearing the stewardess' worried glances at tears streaming down my face.

Primal Desires by Susan Sizemore

Read by Joyce

In this 6th book in the series, a neo-Nazi organization continues to seek world domination using experimentation begun in WWII for the creation of werewolf soldiers.  Sofia Hunyara’s family has long had the power to dominate and control these savage creatures, however it is a psychic gift that needs training.  Vampire Prime Jason Cage uses his innate psychic abilities to help Sofia raise her talents, but that’s not all that rises between them.  From the moment they meet, passion and desire flair, and they are as irresistibly drawn together as they are drawn into the dangerous conflict.

New and recurring characters keep these sexy stories fresh and entertaining, and in Primal Desires the convoluted dynamics in this world of mortals, vampires and shapeshifters continues to be intriguing.

Dream Chaser by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Read by Anne

Xypher is a Dream-Hunter who is condemned to eternal torture thanks to an indescretion.  He's given one month to return to Earth where he must perform one good deed or go back to Tarturus.  But he's out for vengence.  Simone Dubois is a medical examiner who's also a psychic and has a ghost for a best friend.   When Xypher and Simone are bound together, they find that Xypher is not the only one with enemies.

Sherrilyn does not disappoint in this clever, sexy addition to the Dream Chaser series.  A terrific start to the Year Of Acheron.

Forget About Tomorrow by Liz Kreger

Read by Joyce

A week before his wedding, Mac MacNaught finds his fiancee' in bed with another man.  Since he had already arranged for a month off from his business for a honeymoon, he tells his brother he's off to do just that - by himself.  Instead, he lends assistance to a beautiful woman and her bodyguard when they are assaulted, and is himself knocked out.  When he awakens he finds himself far out into the galaxy on the woman's personal trade ship, and no one will know that he's missing.

Larrisalyia was on Earth to hide from a criminal bent on kidnapping her.  When the earthman is injured during such an attempt, she must take him with her to give him medical aid.  Mac must continue to accompany her while she dodges repeated attacks, and she tries find a permanent resolution.

Unexpected by both is the immediate and growing attraction between them.

I found  Forget About Tomorrow to be an enjoyable romantic space adventure high in action and suspense ... of more than one kind.

Bottom Line:  If you read a lot of books you are considered well read. But if you watch a lot of TV, you're not considered well viewed. ~ Lily Tomlin
