Monday News and Giveaways

June 8, 2009
Today's gratuitous picture is compliments of Gena Showalter. I didn't have my camera connector to download pics of WisRWA, but I'll be posting them to my new Snapfish picture site.

Sunday's are always a quiet, laid back day at conferences.  People are usually pooped out from the partying the night before and since WisWRA was celebrating 25 years, it was an exceptionally enthusiastic get-together.  Workshops were well attended and included Ann Voss Peterson's A Word Nerd's Gude to Pacing, Barbara Raffin's, The Proof is in the Details and Lori Devoti's Setting Goals to Keep You On Track.  Next year it will be in Milwaukee.  Nice and close for me, so I hope to see you there!  Now on to the news and Giveaways of the week:

From Author Dianna LoveA spectacular line up of 25 top authors share their insights on writing Character, Conflict, Dialogue, Point of View and Plot.  There is nothing to sign up for or log in or do other than stopping byBreak Into Fiction this week.  Five authors every day and the pages will stay up until end of day Saturday, June13th.

Shoot. I posted earlier and it's not here. Me and the internet...

Anyhow - we had a great time in Ohio with Joysann, Joan, Kym, Donna, Marjorie, Amy, Sara, Kathy...okay, I know there isn't room for all of them since we 300 people there.

Barbara - thanks for sharing our 5 for 5 Writer Extravaganza event over on www.BreakIntoFiction.com. We're tickled to have so many great authors (like Marjorie Liu and Mae Nunn that have contests on today's BHB blog) participating in the online event. No password or sign up necessary - just stop by.

The conference in Wisconsin sounds like a lot of fun. Now we're all back to the grind.

Okay, trying this again...

Hi, Barbara. Your site looks great. Thanks for posting our Love Inspired Suspense contest. You rock! Really, though, regarding the beefy man picture. Where are those men in real life? I've not seen anyone even close! Dana
