Twittering with the WW LadiesJune 18, 2008![]() Before we start with the WW Ladies Blurbs for the week, I want to encourage everyone to consider trying Twitter. I've been doing it a couple of months now and I really like it. Twitter is a way of staying connected with people, one sentence at a time. You follow people and they follow you. One of my favs is a friend of my son's who is now married. He'll leave tibits about his dog, his baby and the ice cream flavor of the day. Now, I never would know what's going on with him if I waited for my son to tell me, but now I can say to Andrew, "Oh, guess what? Matt bought a Wii." (It bugs him when I know more than he does) I'm also following some of my favorite authors as they go through their writing/marketing/selling process. It's fascinating and easy. Try it...you know you want to. Click here for more info.
Tony Pantera, a sexy were-cat, is caught up in a war with the Turn Skins who want to reveal themselves to the world and take over by using fear. Even though haunted by his past, he can't resist the lure of the beautiful doctor that saved his life. This fast-paced story kept me turning the pages wondering what's going to happen next. Not only did I fall in love with Carly and Tony, but also the secondary characters as well. I can't wait to read more from this author. After being orphaned as a young age, Rachel Murphy has put her heart and soul into NASCAR racing. She has no time for any romantic entanglements, but Peyton Reese may be the one to change her mind. He has always lived by the rule of "play hard, don't get tied down." But after meeting Rachel, his rule book is thrown out the window for good. This blurb is a shout out to Wisconsin writer Helen Brenna, whom I recently met at the WisRWA (Wisconsin Romance Writers Association) conference in Green Bay. I've never been a follower of NASCAR, but Helen made it fun to read. When I think of car racing, I picture cars going in circles for hours on end, but I never think about the logistics, and the science behind it all. I thoroughly enjoyed this entertaining book, and won't be afraid to try new subject matter in the future. Posted by Barbara Vey on June 18, 2008 | Comments (53)

In response to: Twittering with the WW Ladies Jennifer Ashley commented: I second the love on Bonnie's historicals. That period in Egypt's history (late 19th, early 20th century) was so interesting--both politically and in the archeological world. Bonnie captures it well and then gives you a to-die for romance. Fortunately, she is busy working on another one. *g*
