Sources: Tanenhaus in at TBR

Sources indicate that
NY Times management has announced to the
Book Review staff that biographer
Sam Tanenhaus will be the next editor of the section. The news was reportedly
greeted with, in the words of one insider, "a sigh of relief" because of
Tanenhaus' genial reputation and literary credentials. More later.
