Beaufort Books Moves Pub Date of The Jewel of Medina Forward, reports AP
Beaufort will now publish Sherry Jones’ novel on October 6, up from the original pub date of October 15. "By speeding up the publication, we wanted to reduce or eliminate the chance of violence," Eric Kampmann, president of Beaufort Books

Three Charged in Fire Bombing of Gibson Square, Publisher of Jewel of Medina, reports BBC
The three men were charged with "conspiring without lawful excuse to damage the premises... intending to destroy or damage property and with intent to endanger life." They were also charged with "conspiring without lawful excuse to damage the premises... intending to destroy or damage property and being reckless as to whether the life of another would thereby be endangered"
