Abbi Glines’s contemporary romance Because of Lila tops the list of bestselling titles on the Smashwords platform for the month of July.
Dangerous, by former Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos came in at #2. It was originally slated to be published by Simon & Schuster. The publisher dropped the title after significant public backlash against a video interview in which the author appeared to condone pedophilia. Yiannopoulos, who denied that he condoned pedophilia and said that the video had been edited, self-published the title and filed a $10 million lawsuit against S&S for breach of contract.
Taking the #3 spot is R.L. Mathewson’s romance Delectable, and #4, The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins, promises to enrich readers’ lives and destroy doubt in five seconds. Rounding out the top five is Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom, reality TV star Jenelle Evans’s memoir.
