Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman, illus. by Brendan Shusterman. HarperTeen, $17.99; ISBN 978-0-06-113411-1. The latest from Shusterman, featuring line illustrations from his son, is a investigation of mental illness through metaphor, and earned a PW star.

Gone Crazy in Alabama by Rita Garcia-Williams. HarperCollins/Amistad, $16.99; ISBN 978-0-06-221587-1. The latest in the trilogy following the Gaither sisters, which started with the acclaimed One Crazy Summer, netted a starred review from PW.

Wherever You Go by Pat Zietlow Miller, illus. by Eliza Wheeler. Little, Brown, $17; ISBN 978-0-316-40002-2. This rhyming picture book from the author of Sophie’s Squash follows a bicycling bunny and earned a starred review from PW.
