The mother-daughter team of Julie Andrews and Emma Walton Hamilton team up to telloffers the latest Very Fairy Princess tale, in which Gerry looks for the perfect Halloween costume.

The School for Good and Evil: #3: The Last Ever After by Soman Chainani. HarperCollins, $17.99; ISBN 978-0-06-210495-3. Concluding the School for Good and Evil trilogy, Sophie and Agatha have to make amends to defeat the evil that overtakes their world.

Pete the Cat: Five Little Pumpkins by James Dean. HarperCollins, $9.99; ISBN 978-0-06-230418-6. The bestselling cat character delivers his own rendition of the Halloween song “Five Little Pumpkins.”

Boo, Boo, I Love You! by Sandra Magsamen. Little, Brown, $7.99; ISBN 978-0-316-25514-1. The latest board book from the bestselling artist features five friends getting ready for Halloween, in hand-stitched illustrations.

The New Order by Chris Weitz. Little, Brown, $19; ISBN 978-0-316-22630-1. The follow-up to the dystopian The Young World picks up where the first left off on a cliffhanger, with and Donna and Jefferson continue continuing their fight against The Sickness, separated by the Atlantic Ocean.
