Brian Buerkle will join Kingfisher in the New York office as associate publisher, director of marketing, beginning January 9. Buerkle will oversee the publishing operations for Kingfisher in North America, including the sales, marketing and publicity efforts. Most recently, Buerkle was in charge of children's sales, marketing, and publicity at Marshall Cavendish, where he was senior marketing manager.
At Kingfisher, he will replace Angus Killick, who recently transitioned to Macmillan Children's Publishing Group as v-p, associate publisher. He will report to Martina Challis, publishing director of Kingfisher, and Geoff Duffield, group sales and marketing director of Pan Macmillan, both of whom are based in London.
