The AAP’s monthly StatShot shows that children’s books stayed solid in April 2012 compared to April 2011, with overall sales up 24.3 percent, according to the 20 publishers reporting. The only soft category was board books, down 14.9 percent, while hardcovers were up 42.8 percent and e-books were up 24.3 percent.
