Readers of all ages made their way to Brooklyn this past Sunday for the seventh annual Brooklyn Book Festival, which featured nearly 300 authors participating in more than 100 panels and other events. As in previous years, children's books remain a big part of the festival, with author and illustrator appearances by Libba Bray, Marc Brown, Susane Colasanti, Barry Lyga, Wendy Mass, Jon Scieszka, and many more. Events for kids included not one but two drawing competitions, as well as panels on topics including humor in children's books, the tougher moments of middle school and high school life, and – of course – the paranormal.
