The Children’s Book Council and Every Child a Reader have unveiled the official poster for the 95th annual Children’s Book Week, which will be held May 12–18. Robin Preiss Glasser, illustrator of the Fancy Nancy books, created the art, which depicts a group of children reading on a chair quilted with the covers of books including Eloise, Goodnight Moon, Charlotte’s Web, and many others.

In addition to Glasser’s poster, the Children’s Book Council and Every Child a Reader have also revealed this year’s bookmark, created by Steve Jenkins. It shows nine animals and asks readers to match each with the story in which it appears (for example: a crocodile figures in Peter Pan).

Details about official and local Children’s Book Week events will be added to the website in the weeks leading up to the celebrations.
