Stefanie Hoffman is joining Little, Brown Books for Young Readers as marketing manager. She was previously marketing associate at HarperCollins Children's Books.

HarperCollins Children's Books has two new hires. Nellie Kurtzman has been named director of integrated marketing. She was most recently executive producer and co-founder for Kid & The Wolf, a video production company in Brooklyn. Before that she had been v-p of marketing at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, and director of digital and trade marketing at Disney Consumer Products. Cheryl Rozier has been named director of integrated marketing, advertising and promotion. Previously she worked at Hachette Book Group, where she was advertising director for the adult and children's divisions, overseeing all media buying and ad production.

Simon & Schuster has two new hires. Jodie Hockensmith has been named associate director of publicity. Most recently she was associate publicity manager at Random House Children's Books, and before that had been senior publicist at Grove/Atlantic. She will oversee the publicity campaigns for the Aladdin, Simon Pulse, Little Simon, Simon Spotlight, Beach Lane Books and Paula Wiseman imprints. Sarah McCabe has joined Simon Pulse as editorial assistant. She was formerly editorial assistant at Springer International Publishing, and freelanced for Open Road Integrated Media and book packager Full Fathom Five.

Natasha Gilmore will join Publishers Weekly on October 27 as associate children's book editor. She was previously a bookseller and assistant buyer at Brookline Booksmith in Massachusetts, and worked as a freelance production assistant for the Horn Book and Horn Book Guide. She holds an MFA in Writing for Children from Simmons College.

Macmillan Children's Book Group has three promotions. Allison Verost has been named v-p, publicity; she was formerly director of publicity. Molly Brouillette has been named associate director, publicity; she was formerly publicity manager. Mary Van Akin has been named senior publicist; she was formerly publicist.

HarperCollins Children's Books has several promotions. Karen Chaplin was promoted to senior editor, from editor. Christopher Hernandez was promoted to associate editor, from assistant editor. Stephanie Stein was promoted to associate editor, from assistant editor. Alice Jerman was promoted to assistant editor, from editorial assistant. And Alexandra Arnold was promoted to assistant editor of Katherine Tegen Books, from editorial assistant.

Random House Children's Books has three promotions and a new hire. Casey Lloyd has been promoted to associate director, publicity, from publicity manager. Lydia Finn has been promoted to senior publicist, from publicist. Kathy Dunn has been named publicist-at-large; she was formerly publicist and agent director, Penguin Random House Speakers Bureau for Random House Children's Books. And Christine Labov has returned to the company as agent director, Penguin Random House Speakers Bureau for Random House Children's Books.

Daniel Moreton is joining Penguin Young Readers on October 20 as associate publisher for Grosset & Dunlap, PSS and Warne. Formerly he had been creative director at Scholastic, where he was part of the team that developed the 39 Clues program, and has also worked at Houghton Mifflin, Disney Interactive, and Nickelodeon.

National Geographic has three promotions. Melina Bellows has been named chief education officer, and will oversee the newly created education and children's media division; she was formerly evp and chief creative officer for National Geographic Books, Kids, and Family. Nancy Feresten has been named svp, education and children's media; she was formerly svp, National Geographic Kids Media and Publishing. Jennifer Emmett has been named v-p, content, education and children's media, she was formerly v-p, National Geographic Kids Books.

Scholastic has two new hires. Liza Baker has been named v-p, executive editorial director of Cartwheel and Orchard Books. She was most recently executive editorial director at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, and had been executive editor at Scholastic before leaving for Disney Publishing in 2002. Abigail Stahlman has joined the company as graphic designer, trade marketing. She was previously a freelancer for Scholastic.

Meredith Wilson has been promoted to social media manager in the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Books for Young Readers Group. She was formerly social media specialist.

Mary-Alice Moore has been named v-p, publishing strategy and product development at Highlights for Children, a newly created position. She will oversee strategic planning and continue to oversee the Highlights book group. She has been with the company for the past five years, and was most recently v-p, editorial director, for book publishing.

Sue Cole has joined Highlights for Children as director of production; previously she was director of production at Grove Atlantic, and held similar positions at Disney Publishing Worldwide and Golden Books.

Anne Heltzel has been named editor at Abrams and will be acquiring middle grade and teen books for Amulet Books; previously she was an associate editor at Razorbill.
