Throughout September and October, the country’s eight regional booksellers associations held their annual meetings, in venues ranging from Providence, R.I., to Tacoma, Wash. The regionals allow booksellers to attend educational sessions, network among themselves, meet authors, and confer with their local sales reps to get a heads-up on their 2015 lists.
