Once Upon a Window

Up Close and Personal

From February 17–24, author Neal Shusterman and co-author Eric Elfman embarked on an eight-city tour for Edison’s Alley (Disney-Hyperion), the second book in their Accelerati trilogy. The authors made appearances at 14 schools and seven bookstores in California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, and more. At Home on the Stage

The stage production of author Amy Timberlake’s Newbery Honor-winning One Came Home (Knopf), opened at Lifeline Theatre on February 13 in Chicago. On March 1, Timberlake was invited to chat with Jessica Wright Buha, who adapted the story, and director Elise Kauzlaric after the performance. A Joyful Send-Off

On February 25, Capstone Publishing Group partnered with St. Paul, Minnesota’s Micawber’s Books to honor trade sales manager Paul Von Drasek with a surprise retirement party. Capstone chief content officer Ashley Andersen Zantop (r.) toasted Von Drasek, saying that Capstone “could not have asked for a finer champion of our trade publishing efforts. Paul is the genuine article. He has a deep love for books, their creators, their supporters and the people who curate and sell them.”
