On Saturday, March 7, Bank Street Bookstore celebrated its grand opening at 2780 Broadway on the corner of 107th Street on New York City’s Upper West Side. The day-long celebration began with a ribbon-cutting and more than 30 author and illustrator signings, as well as a Fractured Fables Puppet Show. The move followed months of searching for a new location after the three-decade-old bookstore announced in December 2013 that it would move to a more affordable space when its lease expired at the end of February 2015. The new space is 2,200 sq. ft. and located on a single floor. Here we take a photographic look at the grand opening of Bank Street Bookstore at 2780 Broadway in New York City.
