The third annual North Texas Teen Book Festival was held on March 4 at the Irving Convention Center in Irving, Tex. The festival, sponsored in part by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission and the Institute of Museum and Library Service, featured more than 80 authors who spoke on panels, signed books, and met with young readers. The preceding Educator Day, hosted by the Sam Houston State University’s College of Education on March 3, offered professional development panels for more than 500 area teachers and librarians. Here are some of the highlights from the events. All festival photos: Joon Koo at SJKoo Photography. All Ed Day photos: Christy Archibald at Christy Archibald Photography.
