Simon & Schuster has announced several promotions and new hires, as part of an expansion and reorganization of its newly integrated marketing, publicity, and digital marketing teams. The overhaul is intended to support the company’s authors and books through a period of continued growth.

Chrissy Noh has been promoted to senior director of marketing for S&S Books for Young Readers, Atheneum, Caitlyn Dlouhy Books, Margaret K. McElderry, Salaam Reads, Beach Lane Books, Paula Wiseman Books, and Saga Press. Noh has overseen campaigns for Cassandra Clare, Jenny Han, Doreen Cronin, Stuart Gibbs, Laurie Halse Anderson, and Neal Shusterman, among others. Nick Elliot, marketing manager, Keri Lee Horan, marketing manager, and Jess Howard, marketing assistant, will continue to report to Noh.

Jill Hacking has been promoted to the newly created role of retail marketing coordinator. She will continue to serve as coordinator of BookExpo and BookCon, and will take on additional shows.

Nicole Russo, senior director of publicity, will lead the publicity efforts for Pulse, Aladdin, Little Simon, Simon Spotlight, and Paula Wiseman Books. She will also oversee publicity for author Cassandra Clare. Jodie Hockensmith, associate director of publicity, and Samantha Benson, publicity assistant, will both report to Russo.

Effective August 7, Lisa Moraleda, formerly associate director of publicity at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, joins Simon & Schuster as director of publicity, overseeing BFYR, Atheneum, Caitlyn Dlouhy Books, Margaret K McElderry, Salaam Reads, Beach Lane Books, and Saga Press. Audrey Gibbons, senior publicist, and Aubrey Churchward, associate publicist, will report to Moraleda.

Anna Jarzab will also be joining the division as digital marketing strategist, as of July 25. Jarzab was most recently associate director of digital and social marketing at Penguin Young Readers. In her new role, she will oversee strategies for the Riveted online community, social media channels, and other cross-imprint initiatives, as well as marketing on our title-specific campaigns. Janine Perez, associate manager digital marketing, and Danielle Finnegan, digital marketing assistant, will report to Jarzab.

Simon & Schuster will also be expanding the marketing team for its Pulse, Aladdin, Little Simon, Simon Spotlight imprints. Additional new hires will be announced in the coming weeks.

As a result of this restructuring, associate digital marketing director Matt Pantoliano, associate publicity director Katy Hershberger, and senior publicist Faye Bi have left the company.
