A St. Patty’s Day Reading

Author Laura Murray visited Barnes & Noble Tysons Corner in McLean, Va., on March17. She read from the latest book in her Gingerbread Man series, The Gingerbread Man and the Leprechaun Loose at School (Putnam). The event also included leprechaun-inspired activities and a visit from the Gingerbread Man himself.

Under My Umbrella

Debut author Russell Ginns just completed a five-city tour for his novel Samantha Spinner and the Super-Secret Plans (Delacorte). His tour included a stop at Copperfield’s Books in Petaluma, Calif., on March 14, where he signed books and chatted with fans.

A Windy City Tour

Baptiste Paul and Jacqueline Alcántara, author and illustrator of the picture book The Field (NorthSouth), recently met up for a mini-tour in and around the Chicago area. Their tour included a day of school visits coordinated by the Book Stall, located in Winnetka, Ill., as well as in-store events at Anderson’s Bookstore in La Grange. A Courageous Book Tour

Chessy Prout and Jenn Abelson—co-authors of I Have the Right To: A High School Survivor’s Story of Sexual Assault, Justice, and Hope (McElderry)—made a recent book tour stop at Gibson’s Bookstore in Concord, N.H. Joining Prout (l.) and Abdelson (r.) was Ann McLane Kuster, U.S. Representative from New Hampshire, who wrote the introduction for the book.

A Royal Reading

Author Sharee Miller read her picture book, Princess Hair (Little, Brown) to fans at Greenlight Bookstore in Brooklyn on March 17. After the reading, attendees took part in Princess Hair-themed coloring activities, and Miller signed copies of the book for fans.
