This March, YA author Tahereh Mafi set out on a 10-city tour in honor of the publication of Restore Me (HarperCollins), book four in her bestselling Shatter Me series. The tour kicked off on March 6, the day of the book’s release, at Books of Wonder in New York City, and wrapped up on March 24 at the ninth annual TeenBookCon, outside of Houston. We’ve gathered a selection of highlights from the events, which featured appearances by guest authors, Q&As, photo-ops, and more.

Mafi (r.) appeared in conversation with fellow YA fantasy author Maria Lu (Batman: Nightwalker; Warcross) on March 13 at Mysterious Galaxy in San Diego.

More than 100 young readers attended the Mysterious Galaxy event featuring Mafi and Lu. A spoiler-free Q & A, in which audience members wrote their questions on index cards, touched on the tentative TV adaptation of Shatter Me. Photo: Ransom Riggs.

Mafi joined her husband Ransom Riggs, author of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, for a launch party at Books of Wonder in Manhattan. Here, fans snapped photos of the couple during their panel.

Mafi joined friend and fellow author Sabaa Tahir (An Ember in the Ashes series) for a discussion at Kepler’s Books in Menlo Park, Calif. The event drew approximately 120 fans. Afterwards, Mafi signed books and met young readers, including one girl who flew all the way from Singapore to meet her favorite author.
