Avon has relaunched its Web site, www.avonromance.com, giving readers what it calls a "cleaner" look and more interactive features. The site features a streaming bookshelf, a new e-bookstore featuring e-originals and e-book bundle offers. The site also features casual games based on the publisher's titles.
The first e-original Avon will be offering is Eloisa James's Storming the Castle, which will be priced at $1.99. In addition to the original storym the e-book will feature excerpts from two of the author's other books, including the forthcoming When Beauty Tamed the Beast (February). On the bundling side, the new site will allow readers to buy a group of books by a single author at a discounted price. The site will launch with bundles from Stephanie Laurens and Lynsay Sands. The Laurens bundle will include three of her novels for $14.99, while the Sands bundle will include two books for $9.99. The site also has an online game based on Laurens' Black Cobra titles; the game will soon be made into an iPhone, iPad app.
