Baker & Taylor has reached an agreement with the King County Library System of Washington State for the first installation of B&T’s Axis 360, a media circulation system for enhanced digital content and Blio, multimedia e-reading software developed by B&T in conjunction with KFNB Technologies.

Axis 360 will provide book reviews and book recommendations and is device and operating system neutral. Axis 360 will offer access to more than 7 million cataloged titles. The installation will also include full color and interactive titles supported by Blio.

"We're particularly impressed with the interactive content and color reproduction Blio provides, such as in children's picture books and nonfiction for all ages, which is unavailable in the EPUB format," said Alene Moroni, KCLS's selection and order manager.

George Coe, Baker & Taylor's president of library & education, said "We look forward to helping King County Library System serve and delight their patrons with our cutting-edge service, and providing KCLS with comprehensive collection development programs and an integrated workflow for both print and digital materials."
