McGraw-Hill Professional has announced a deal with iPhone app developer ScrollMotion to offer e-books as iPhone and iPod Touch apps via ScrollMotion’s Iceberg Reader.

The first titles are now available at the iTunes Apps Store, and include two recent bestsellers, How to Make Money in Stocks by William J. O’Neil and Leadership in the Era of Economic Uncertainty by Ram Charan, as well as other e-books in the areas of career development, management, innovation, entrepreneurship, communication, finance and investing. Over the next two and a half months, the company will release more than 600 interactive titles. E-books will be added on “a rolling basis as new titles publish,” and will cover other areas, including medical, engineering, computing and education. The e-books will be priced the same as their corresponding print books.

ScrollMotion chief content officer Calvin Baker called the audience for business books on the iPhone “an enormous untapped market, representing hundreds of thousands of commuters and other voracious readers who always have a smart phone in their pockets.”
