E-book retailer Kobo announced the launch of its new Kobo Vox tablet ereader in New Zealand at 60 Whitcoulls store locations and online. The full color tablet e-reader will sell for $399 in New Zealand.

The Kobo Vox reader will be sold online through Whitcoulls.co.nz and the device offers access to more than 400,000 local New Zealand titles. The Kobo Vox offers readers access to full color books, newspapers, magazines, music and video games as well as Kobo’s social reading software, Reading Life and The Pulse.

Kobo CEO Michael Serbinis said, “We are excited to be able to deliver the brand new, innovative, Kobo Vox eReader experience to Whitcoulls customers.”
