The Audio Publishers Association, at its 2013 Audie Awards ceremony on Thursday, named Graham Greene's The End of the Affair, read by Colin Firth and published by Audible, the Audiobook of the Year. The event, now in its 18th year, is known as the "Oscars of spoken word entertainment."

The other two winners of the night were an Audible-published edition of Bram Stoker's Dracula, read by a collection of people including Alan Cumming and Tim Curry, which took home the Distinguished Achievement in Production Award; and Ellen Kushner's Swordspoint, read by Kushner and a supporting cast, and published by SueMedia Productions, which took home the Audio Drama award.
