The deadline for the Publishing Innovation Awards has been extended until November 15. Now in its second year, the awards that celebrates the best in e-books, enhanced e-books and book apps has expanded its number of categories from five to 17. Winners receive a QED Seal (Quality, Excellence, Design) meant to be a "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval" for e-books. The awards are sponsored by Digital Book World, nook, Sony and Kobo.

Entrants will need to submit all of the associated file formats for their e-book (with the exception of PDF). The benefits of entering are increased visibility for your e-book (last year's winners were announced widely in the press, with coverage in PW and the Los Angeles Times, among others), free tickets to Digital Book World Conference and Expo in January 2012 and expert evaluation and feedback from judges.
