In an exclusive arrangement, Oxford University Press has hired The Gersh Agency to represent its titles in Hollywood. Through the the agreement, the agency will look to sell film, television and digital rights to the publisher's catalog, which includes both academic and trade titles.

OUP has had a handful of its titles adapted to the big screen, including Defiance, the 2008 film starring Daniel Craig, which was based on Nechama Tec's book, Defiance: The Bielski Partisans; and the 2011 film The Eagle, starring Channing Tatum, which was based Rosemary Sutcliff's novel, The Eagle of the Ninth.
