A flurry of items in regional business magazines about Borders’s locations being up for auction have been spurred by the August 26 deadline by which all bids on Borders’s small format stores are due. The lease auction will be held August 31. Objections must be filed by September 2 and a hearing is set for September 8.
The bid deadline for Borders’s superstores is September 7 and the auction on leases will be held September 13.
