7/26 An Evening with Bill Plympton in San Francisco

Oscar-nominated animator and cartoonist Bill Plympton will appear at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco with a special showing of his in-progress animation project as well as his new animated music video for Weird Al , and a live drawing demonstration from Plympton. The $10 admission price will include a complementary original drawing by Plympton himself for every attendee. The screening will take place from 6 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, at the Cartoon Art Museum, located at 655 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA.

7/29 Greg Pak Talks Planet Hulk in New York

As part of the Midtown Comics Book Club series of events, Greg Pak writer for Planet Hulk and editor Mark Paniccia will appear at Midtown Comics' downtown location to discuss and sign Planet Hulk. Free coffee and donuts will be served. The event takes place from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 29, at the downtown Midtown Comics store located at 64 Fulton Street, New York, NY and is free to the general public.

8/4 Denny O'Neil, Danny Fingeroth and More Discuss Will Eisner in New York

The Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art, MoCCA, in New York City will be holding a special panel discussion about the evolving career of comics giant Will Eisner, from The Spirit through his autobiographical graphic novels on Thursday, August 4. The panel will feature guests Denny O'Neil, David Hadju and N.C. Christopher Couch and will be moderated by comics veteran Danny Fingeroth The event will take place at the museum from 7 – 9 p.m., and admission will be free to members and $7 to the general public. The Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art is located at 594 Broadway, Suite 401, New York, NY.

8/6 Grant Morrison at Supergods Events in San Francisco

Eisner-winning comics writer Grant Morrison will be holding a two-part signing of his new book Supergods in San Francisco at Isotope Comics on Saturday, August 6. The first part, a family-friendly signing, takes place from 2-5 p.m., while the second part, a 21 and up signing and party will take place from 8 p.m. -12 a.m. at which alcohol will be served. Tickets to both signings will be $28 in advance, to be purchased at Isotope Comics or the Isotope Comics website, and a complementary hardcover copy of Supergods will be included in the price. Guests will be allowed to bring two additional items for Morrison to sign, and guests at the late night party will receive a free Morrison-themed cocktail glass. The event takes place at Isotope Comics located at 326 Fell Street, San Francisco, CA.
