1/12 Chip Kidd Discusses Bat-Manga in New York

The Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art, MoCCA, in New York City will be holding a discussion with Chip Kidd about the history of Batman's depiction in Japanese manga on Thursday, January 12. The event will take place at the museum from 7 – 9 p.m., and admission will be free to members and $7 to the general public. 1/12 Eric Shanower Discusses His Oz Comics In San Francisco

The Cartoon Art Museum will be holding a talk by acclaimed cartoonist and comics creator Eric Shanower about on his comics work on the Oz series, including his latest bestseller, The Road to Oz, created with Skottie Young on Thursday, January 19. The event will take place at the museum from 7 – 9 p.m., and a donation of $5 is suggested. The Cartoon Art Museum is located at 655 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA.

1/28 Comics Out Loud featuring Louise & Walt Simonson, Bob Wiacek and More in New York

The Society of Illustrators in New York City will be holding a special discussion and live demonstration on comic book creation from start to finish on January 28. The event will feature writers Louise and Walter Simonson, inker Bob Wiacek, colorist Chris Sotomayor and letterer John Workman and will be presented by veteran comics editor Danny Fingeroth The event will take place at the Society from 1 – 5 p.m., and admission will be $40 for members, $50 for non-members and $20 for students.
