10/17 Ex Sanguine Release Event with Tim Seeley and Josh Emmons in Chicago, IL

Comics creators Josh Emmons and Tim Seeley will be celebrating the release of the first issue of their new Dark Horse comic Ex Sanguine with a signing at Challengers Comics and Conversation from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, 10/17. Released just in time for the Halloween season, the new ongoing comic is about a bored and jaded vampire who finds himself fascinated by a human serial killer. The event is free to the public, but you must be 17 or over to attend. Challengers Comics is located at 1845 North Western Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.

11/3 Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival in Las Vegas, NV

On November 3, the 2012 Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival will take place at the Clark County Library in Las Vegas and feature such comic creator guests as Gene Ha, Aaron Alexovich, Drew Rausch and Spencer Brinkerhoff III. Programming includes panels, film screenings, portfolio reviews, food trucks, an artist's alley, and an art jam. The Clark County Library is located at 1401 East Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV. Hours are 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, 11/3. Entry is free to the general public, but registration is free and preregistered members will receive exclusive benefits and giveaways.

10/20 Charles Burns, Gabrielle Bell & Tom Kaczynski Signing in Seattle, WA

Acclaimed comics creator Charles Burns, creator of X-ed Out, and up and coming creators Gabrielle Bell and Tom Kaczynski will appear at the Fantagraphics Bookstore in Seattle from 6-8 p.m. on 10/20. Burns will be signing his new graphic novel The Hive, while Bell will be presenting her new book The Voyeurs and Kaczynski will be previewing his upcoming work Beta-Testing the Apocalypse. The Fantagraphics Bookstore and Gallery is located at 1201 South Vale Street, Seattle, Washington.
