1/18 Ryan Stegman Signs "Superior Spider-Man #1" in Orlando, FL
Comics artist Ryan Stegman will appear at Epic Comics in Orlando to sign and celebrate his new comic The Superior Spider-Man #1. From 4 - 7 p.m. on Friday, 1/18, he will be signing comics and offering complementary sketches to lucky free raffle winners. This event is all-ages and free to the publict. Epic Comics is located at 570 North Alafaya Trail, Building C, Suite 106, Orlando, FL.
1/18-1/20 Animate! Miami in Miami, FL
On January 18 through 20, the first annual Animate! Miami will take place in Miami, celebrating anime, animation, comics and manga. The convention will feature such comic and animation guests as Alfonso Garcia; cartoonist and animator Max Gilardi of "Hotdiggetydemon!"; cartoon and anime voice actors Nicole Oliver, Andrea Libman and John Swasey; Lisa Corrao, creator and performer of "The Revenge of the Nerds Comedy Show". Along with panels and signings, the convention will also feature such performances as the Urban Ronin stunt combat troupe's "Villains Anonymous" show, satirizing popular comic, animation and movie villains and the difficulties of supervillainy. The 2013 Animate! Miami will be held at the Miami Airport Convention Center at 711 Northwest 72nd Avenue, Miami, FL. Hours are 2 p.m. - 3 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. - 3 a.m. Tickets are $45 for all three days, $20 for Friday or Sunday and $25 for Friday. Children under 10 are admitted free with a parent or guardian.
1/26 Rick Remender "Captain America" and "Uncanny Avengers" Signing in Huntingdon Beach, CA
Popular comics creator Rick Remender will appear at Phat Collectibles in Huntingdon Beach from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, January 26 to sign his new Marvel Now books Captain America and Uncanny Avengers books. Guests will be able to enjoy free raffles and prizes. This event is free to the public. Phat Collectibles is located at 16532 Beach Boulevard, Huntington Beach, CA.
