11/17-11/24: Thought Bubble 2013 in Leeds, United Kingdom

The 7th annual Thought Bubble Festival, the UK's largest comic book event, kicks off on November 17th for an 8-day celebration of all things sequential art in a number of locations around Yorkshire. The festival's program is loaded with events including art and writing workshops, film screenings, artist talks, an art competition, exhibitions, and a 2-day comics convention (full program can be viewed here). Comics guests include Matt Fraction, Fiona Staples, Geof Darrow, Kate Beaton, Jeffrey Brown, Marl Buckingham, Darryl Cunningham, Al Ewing, Brandon Graham, Frazer Irving, John McCrea, Sean Phillips, Richard Starking, Cameron Steart, Maris Wicks and many, many more. 11/20: Vivek J. Tiwary Signing in New York, NY

Writer/producer Vivek Tiwary will be signing copies of his new book The Fifth Beatle: The Brian Epstein Story (Dark Horse) on Wednesday, November 20th at 6 p.m. at Forbidden Planet NYC in New York, NY. The Fifth Beatle, illustrated by Andrew Robinson and Kyle Baker, tells the story of the Fab Four's first manager, who put the small rock group from Liverpool on the path to worldwide pop megastardom. 11/22: Fata Morgana Release party in Los Angeles, CA

Celebrate the release of Fata Morgana (Koyama Press) with creator Jon Vermilyea on at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 22nd at Secret Headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. The book follows a young boy as he traipses around his imagination and unconscious, depicted in highly-detailed psychedelic two-page panoramas. This event is free to the public. 11/22-24: Wizard World Austin Comic Con in Austin, TX

Wizard World rolls into the Lone Star State for Wizard World Austin Comic Con this weekend, November 22-24th at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, TX. As usual, WW boasts an array of pop culture and comic book guests and events, offering a premier convention experience all around the country. Programming includes professional workshops, artist showcases and Q&As, world-premiere screenings, panels such as 'Comics Conspiracy: 50 Years of the JFK Assassination in Comics,' 'Supervillains and Psychology,' 'Wonder Women of the 21st Century,' and more. VA Comicon, Virginia's largest convention made "FOR fans, BY fans" takes over the Old Dominion Building at the Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, VA for a weekend of comics, comics and more comics on November 23+24th. The con is celebrating its 27th year with a slate of fan favorite creators and loads of stuff to do as long as it begins and ends with comic books. Programming includes lectures, professional workshops on how to break into comics, panels such as 'Digital vs. Print,' 'Artist Alley 101,' a costume contest, and more.
