Comic Market (AKA Comiket) Japan's largest comic and anime festival, is taking place from Sunday, December 29th to Tuesday, December 31st at Tokyo Big Sight International Convention Center in Tokyo's Koto District. First held in 1975, Comiket has been Japan's most popular comics convention where professional and amateur creators exhibit and promote their self-published comics (known as "doujinshi"), and promote the manga industry and community. There are also cosplay related events. This event is free to the public. Tokyo Big Sight International Convention Centers is located at 3-11-1 Ariake, Koto, Tokyo 135-0063.

Writer Christos Gage will be appearing and signing copies of his books on Wednesday, January 1st from 2-6 p.m. at That's Entertainment in Worcester, Massachusetts. Gage started his career as a screenwriter for shows such as Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and Numb3rs, but began writing comics in 2004. SInce then he's worked on titles such as Avengers Academy, Angel & Faith, G.I. Joe, Absolution, The Authority, Union Jack, Crossed: Badlands, and most recently, The Superior Spider-Man.
