2/4-2/8: Taipei International Comics and Animation Festival in Taipei, Taiwan

The Taipei International Comics and Animation Festival is taking place from Tuesday, February 4th to Saturday, February 8th in the exhibition hall of the Taipei World Trade Center in Taipei, Taiwan. Now in its second year, the festival has quickly become one of the largest and most-attended conventions in Asia, and this year is likely to bring together over 300,000 attendees including creators, exhibitors, and fans from China, Japan, Taiwan and elsewhere. Programming includes creator Q&As and drawing sessions, live stage shows, special screenings and more. Comics guests include Attack on Titan creator Hajime Isayama and Blue Exorcist creator Kato Kazue. Tickets are 100 yuan (roughly $3.45). 2/6: Heroes Aren't Hard to Find Reception in Abingdon, VA

The opening reception for 'Heroes Aren't Hard to Find: The Comic Art Collection of Sheldon Drum' is taking place on Thursday, February 6th from 6-8 p.m. at the William King Museum Center for Art and Cultural Heritage in Abingdon, Virginia. Drum is the owner of Heroes Aren't Hard to Find in Charlotte, North Carolina, as well as the founder of Heroes Con, one of the country's most popular conventions. He's been collecting original and commissioned work from many of the industry's biggest names for decades, with prints ranging from the 1950s to today. The exhibition runs from January 24-June 29. 2/7-2/9: Comic Con India 2014 in New Delhi, India

The 4th annual Indian Comic Con kicks off on Friday, February 7th for a weekend-long celebration of Indian and international comics at the Thyagaraj Stadium in New Delhi, India. Programming includes the "Inside Peanuts" exhibition courtesy of the Schultz Museum, the presentation of the Comic Con India Awards, screenings, artist spotlights, publisher panels and demos, cosplay contests, and more. Comics guests include Mark Waid, Gabriel Ba, Fabio Moon, John Layman, David Lloyd, Mohammad Faisal, and more. Single day tickets are Rs. 100 ($1.60), 3-day passes are Rs. 300 ($4.79), and 3-dat superfine passes are Rs. 350 ($5.58). 2/8: Paper Jam Small Press Festival in Brooklyn, NY

The inaugural Paper Jam Small Press Festival is taking place on Saturday, February 8th from 1-8 p.m. at The Silent Barn in Brooklyn, New York. The festival is a curated gathering of local small press creators and enthusiasts offering their creations and camaraderie, as well as artists and musicians from the area.
