For the first time, home cooks will be able to download 32 selected recipes from Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking, for an introductory price of $2.99 (list price of $4.99). The app will include color photos (by Marcus Nilsson) of each finished dish, clips from "The Way We Cook" videos, grocery lists, as well as audio commentary from Judith Jones, Child's longtime editor.
The app is the first from Knopf and will be available immediately for the iPad and Nook Tablet and Nook Color devices.
