Turner Publishing has acquired West Margin Press from the Ingram Content Group for an undisclosed price. With the completion of the purchase, which includes about 500 titles and 35 books set to be released, Turner will bring all operations into its Nashville headquarters. West Margin’s lists focus on nature, travel, history, memoir, literary fiction, food, and lifestyle titles.

West Margin was founded in 1967 in Portland, Ore., as Graphic Arts Press, and has been based In Berkeley, Calif. It rebranded itself as West Margin in early 2019. In addition to the Graphic Art Books imprint, the company also publishes under the West Margin Books and Alaska Northwest Books imprints. Todd Bottorff, president and publisher of Turner, said Turner will continue to publish books under those imprints.

"West Margin Press has curated an excellent collection of beautifully written and award-winning books," Bottorff said in a statement. "We are honored to carry on publishing these titles."

Distribution will continue through Ingram Publisher Services.
