From “I think I can” magnets based on Watty Piper’s The Little Engine That Could, illus. by Loren Long, to Betty Bunny books and infant bodysuits based on stories by Michael B. Kaplan, illustrated by Stephane Jorisch, has begun showcasing products from children’s books published by Penguin Young Readers Group.

“This new store is a wonderful collection of characters that span generations,” says Marc Cowlin, director of marketing at “It’s a great assortment of gear, from bibs and onesies to t-shirts and totes. The varied selection of old and new characters really makes this collection appealing to everyone.”

For its part Penguin says it’s pleased with the new licensing arrangement. “We are thrilled to have a new home for our picture book characters on,” says Lori Burke, director of licensing at Penguin Young Readers Group. “The wide selection of quality products gives kids and parents a chance to connect with characters that they love in a whole new way.”
