CopCorp Licensing, the agency that represents E.L. James’s Fifty Shades of Grey for merchandising activities in North America, has announced the signing of its first licensees for the U.S. and Canadian markets. Three manufacturers will produce Fifty Shades-branded products ranging from underwear and pajamas to stockings and garter sets.

The property’s global licensing agent, Caroline Mickler, and CopCorp launched the Fifty Shades merchandising effort with some fanfare at the Licensing International Expo in June.

HYP will market hosiery, including stockings, garter sets, and printed tights, while Briefly Stated will produce pajamas, sleep shirts and pants, robes, underwear, and other daywear and loungewear. Freeze Clothing is on board for Fifty Shades apparel including t-shirts, fashion knit tops, and hoodies.

The products will be sold in specialty and department stores.
