Hultenschmidt Joins Sourcebooks' Romance Imprint

| Reader Comments

Leah Hultenschmidt, former editorial director at Dorchester Publishing, has been named senior editor at Sourcebooks' romance imprint, Casablanca. This appointment comes just over a week after Hultenschmidt was let go from Dorchester, along with senior editor Don D'Auria, in the wake of mounting instability at the publisher, which surfaced in the immediate aftermath of news that Dorchester was adopting a largely digital publishing approach.

At Casablanca, which Sourcebooks launched in 2007 and which has now releases five to eight mass market titles per month, Hultenschmidt will be acquiring mass market and YA titles. She will be based in Sourcebooks' New York office. Hultenschmidt was at Dorchester for 10 years and specialized in romance, westserns and other original mass market titles.
