Lance Fitzgerald has been appointed to v-p and director of foreign rights for Simon & Schuster, overseeing the lists for the Simon & Schuster imprint and Touchstone. Fitzgerald is currently director of subsidiary rights for several imprints within the Penguin Group, where he has worked on such best-selling titles as: It’s Not About the Bike by Lance Armstrong and The Postmistress by Sarah Blake.

Marie Florio has been promoted to deputy director of subsidiary rights for the Touchstone, Threshold, Howard, and Simon & Schuster imprints, effective immediately. Florio has been with Simon & Schuster for 29 years.
