Gretchen Young is leaving Hyperion for Grand Central Press. She is trading her current title at Hyperion, v-p and executive editor, for the same one at the Hachette imprint. Young will start at GCP on June 25, and report directly to GCP v-p and editor-in-chief of hardcovers, Deb Futter.

Young, who launched the ESPN imprint, has edited books by, among others, Caroline Kennedy, George Carlin, Joe Torre, and Whoopi Goldberg.

"I am thrilled that Gretchen Young is joining our team. The range of books she has acquired is most impressive in both breadth and depth and I know her editorial instincts will be showcased at Grand Central," commented Futter.
