Crown Publishing has named Campbell Wharton, who was publicity director for Crown paperbacks and Crown Forum and worked with the Speakers Bureau, associate publisher of Three Rivers Press and Crown Forum. She will report to Mauro DiPreta, v-p and editor-in-chief. With her promotion Crown has made other changes, including hiring Wade Lucas as agent director of the Random House Speakers Bureau; he will report to publicity director David Drake. (Lucas was at the HarperCollins Speakers Bureau.)

In the publicity department, there are a number of shifts as well. Overseeing publicity for the paperback lines throughout Crown will now be four people: Annsley Rosner, Tammy Blake, Tara Gilbride, and Kate Tyler. Rosner will now be overseeing Crown, Hogarth and Broadway paperbacks. Blake will handle publicity for Crown Archetype and Harmony, as well as Three Rivers Press and Crown Forum. Gilbride will handle Crown Forum, both hardcovers and paperbacks. And Tyler will oversee hardcover and trade paperback publicity for the Clarkson Potter group.
