Jennifer Levesque has been tapped to oversee Rodale's trade books division. With the new title of editorial director of trade books, Levesque, who starts at Rodale on June 17, will be reporting to the recently named v-p and publisher of the company's books group, Mary Ann Naples.

Levesque arrives at Rodale from Abrams, where she was also editorial director. At Abrams, Levesque acquired and/or edited a number of bestsellers and franchises, including the Fifty Places series by Chris Santella, and Warren Brown's Cakelove. Before Abrams, Levesque was an editor at Hyperion.

Speaking to the hire, Naples said Levesque's list, over the last two decades, "has included a wide range of Rodale-style books—everything from cooking and lifestyle to gardening and sports/active living titles. Her experience with, and passion for, these subjects—along with her strong management expertise—makes [her] an ideal leader for the trade editorial team."
